Blue Sky Ideas for Walking

Networking events for people promoting walking

Format of a Talk the Walk event is fairly straightforward.

  • Meet up
  • Mix and Mingle
  • Listen to a 3-5 minute presentation - up to 16 at any event - (let us know if you have something you want to talk about).
  • Ask questions - Share ideas - Create an action plan

Our next Talk the Walk, co-hosted with Groundwork London, will be on the theme of "Up the Garden Path - community kitchen gardens and food preparation" and will take place from 4.30 - 7.00pm on Wednesday 21 April 2010 - at The Lighthouse West London, 111 - 117 Lancaster Road, Ladbroke Grove, London W11 1QT. In the fight against obesity and in getting people to re-engage with their surroundings, community kitchen gardens and how to get to them is becoming increasingly important.  Groundwork London are offering a walking tour of community kitchen gardens and the chance to sample locally grown and prepared food from 3.00pm.  Please register here for both events, ticking the appropriate boxes on the registration form, if you wish to participate in either event or both.  Numbers are strictly limited.

For each event we create a new wiki page to which you can add information, recommendations and suggestions: Wednesday 21 April
